Brit Boys: On Boys by Ashe Barker, M. K. Elliott, Lucy Felthouse, K. D. Grace, Lily Harlem, Clare London, Sarah Masters, Josephine Myles

I was given Brit Boys: On Boys by Lucy Felthouse for an honest review

I love anthologies they are not only give you an introduction to authors you have never read before but they are always fun to read.

How I rate an anthology is by each individual story that I read rather than the whole book so you will see this book again with each review that I add.

The Chase by Lily Harlem

Heat Rating

Steve is a bartender who yearns for his ex-lover Robert who in turn still yearns for Steve. Then you add in Carrick the Comedian and you have threesome.

The Chase was one of the stories that was brought to my attention by someone else so I put on my next to read in Brit Boys: On Boys. I have another story that someone thought would be interesting that I will read next but first my review of The Chase.

I thought The Chase was okay except it seemed like there was something missing. Okay, yeah, Steve and Robert were seeing each other then drifted apart and then WHAM! They are getting back together as they chase down a mutual attraction they want to fuck together; it kind of makes no sense because I think the feelings are missing. All I sense is that they are horny and want sex real bad and most of those scenes were pretty hot.

I was a little worried when I found a few edits because with the three star rating I am giving this book the edits would really obliterate The Chase. Thankfully that is not the case as there are only a couple of typos where all that is needed is to remove a 't'. But I do have a question; when Robert and Steve go into the trees to relieve Steve of his hard-on who is actually giving the hand job? Because one in sentence Robert is touching Steve's dick and in the next Steve is doing himself, making this sex scene the only one to skip over.

The Chase Blurb Rating

The Chase Blurb
Steve's killing time working in a comedy club. Why not? It makes him laugh and both the clientele and the comedians are not just fit but also great company. One stand up joker decides to create a wild goose chase for Steve and his ex Robert. Cavorting around Cardiff on a frosty night, however, does more than just show them the way to a threesome, it also reveals the reasons why they should give each other one more shot.

Love on Location by Lucy Felthouse

Heat Rating

Love on Location is focused on how Theo fights his attraction to Eddie but cannot resist him even as he thinks it's the best thing for both of them if they remain just friends. And when Theo pushes Eddie away, he can't bare the hurt he caused the other man and tries to save their friendship and being honest. But as Eddie seems to be feeling the same those problems fall to the way side as they explore their mutual attraction even as the clock is ticking to then end with the broken hearts and all.

My favorite quote was actually a thought from the person that said but I really was thinking that it was a standout and want to add it even if it does have the potential to get me censored by those that I share reviews with and those that put ads on my page.

Fuckity-fuckity-fuck-fuck! Argh—don’t you know I’m trying to avoid you as I’m developing quite the crush on you, you insufferable man! --Theo

I thought this was a very sweet love story with a very hot bedroom scene, yum. Really that it was pretty awesome when Eddie found the solutions that saved them from parting. Great job Lucy Felthouse, Love on Location is a well thought out and written short story and look forward to reading more of your work.
