The Hob (Gray Court #4) by Dana Marie Bell

Heat Rating

Michaela Exton is a Pediatric Nurse who has been obsessed with The Hob her entire life. Imagine her surprise when she finds out that he not only exists but that he belongs to her as well.

Robin Goodfellow has been hoping he would find his truebond for a long time and now that he has found her, how will he keep her safe and alive despite Shane Dunne's prophecy? Especially, when she does crazy things; like rushing in to save a Red Cap's life.

I am so glad this was one of the books that I was reading 'for me' because I got to really enjoy it my first time reading it. And I have to ask, how in the world does Dana write bedroom scenes that make even my phone (where my reading app is located) get all steamy? Wow, I think need to buy a fan to keep on hand when reading the bedroom scenes.

Even though Dana's attention the detail is nearly flawless most of the time I need to know who is really older Shane or Leo? They seem to trade off being the older sibling from one book to the next. Other than that the characters vibrant personalities carry over from one book to the next consistently. I really enjoyed reading Robin's reaction to Michaela's head long rush into what he perceived as dangerous situations and her ability to manipulate him into her getting her way.

Favorite Quote:

I really do like the cover. The clothes are something I could picture the hob wearing, although I think if the Hob were posing for a picture he would have a more mischievous grin on his face to mask his more serious side but then again when you look at the fact that he is Oberon's Blade this picture does fit best with the story line.

Book Blurb Rating
When I read the books blurb, I could sense that it is well thought out and worded in a way to give you just enough teasers to wet the imagination and get you excited about reading the book.

She is closer to her dream man than she thinks, and nobody knows it better than Robin, who wears the guise of Ringo. But there’s competition for her love in the form of Lord Raven, who holds a secret that will rock the foundation of Robin’s world. Code Name: Nina's Choice (A Warrior's Challenge #3) by Natasza Waters

Heat Rating

I was given Code Name: Nina's Choice for an honest review by Manic Readers

Mace Callahan is very much in-love with Nina Samson and wants to be her guy and the father of her 8 year old little girl. But with every little thing that falls in their path he throws up road blocks and can't seem to stop himself.

Nina Samson love Mace with everything that she has and when he comes home injured she will do or sacrifice anything to make him better. Even recruit his best friend to make IT happen, including letting him go to another woman. But just when things start working and the world is going in the right direction a blast from her past threatens her future with Mace and the life of her daughter. I would not blame her for giving up and counting her losses but her determination, courage and love keep her fighting the good fight for their future.

I am really glad that Mace finally pulled his head out of his ass and got it together because for a while there I thought that the lying baby daddy was going to do something stupid, oh wait he did do something stupid only to get his sorry butt kicked.

I love everything from the back story to the steamy bedroom scenes and as I have already ready Code Name: Luminous I was really glad to see how Tony and Lumin met. Most of all I really love the authenticity of the characters that makes them seem so life like, Natasza put a lot of detail into everyone of her characters, you can just tell she put a lot of thought into them.

I am so reading the other books in A Warrior's Challenge series, Natasza is an amazing writing. I told my Navy daughter, who is stationed in Coronado that about this series and how it portrayed Naval men as horn-dogs and she said that it was true they were and I about died laughing at her response before reminding her to be safe.

Alpha Bully (The Alpha Shifter Collection #5) by Sam Crescent

Heat Rating/

Marshall Briggs and his friends spent most of their school career bullying the chubby girl Scarlett Fields. His dad had told him he needed to be nice to people because he never when it could come back to bite him in the ass if he didn't. The first day of school after becoming a wolf, he discovers how right his father was and his mate all in the same day. Now his mission is to make one Scarlett Fields forgive his stupidity and trust him so he can make her his.

First, Sam Crescent this is so totally unfair. I have this huge list of books that I need to read before I can enjoy reading something I am not asked to read and what do you go and do? HHMMM, well?

Fine I will tell you... YOU had to go and write a book that drew my attention so much that not only did I just have to buy it but I had to drop everything else and read it on the spot. LOL Thankfully this book was worth it. I didn't think I cared for the beginning much so I skipped to the end and read the last half of the book only to go back to the beginning and read the entire thing.

Guess that tells you that I really liked about Alpha Bully now to what I didn't like. There was a missing word or two that threw off the sentences and words with missing letters. Then there is issue of the 'he' snuggling into the 'him' who happens to be Marshall which brings the question of who is the 'he' snuggling Marshall? Over all I would really like to give Alpha Bully a five star rating because I will probably read it again but the edits are enough to reduce the rating to four stars.
