Wolf's Run (Wolf's Trilogy #1) by D. H. Cameron

Heat Rating

Cassie is too busy keeping her mom’s dream a live to chase her own dreams whatever they may be. Then she meets two badass bikers, Dolan and Yeager, both want her for their own reasons. In the end she is going to learn about her heart and her family.

Yeager found Cassie when she was way too young for him. Realizing this he kept his distance for seven years and now he’s back and ready take what belongs to him.

There are a few twists and turns in this book to keep a reader involved from beginning to end. One twist will leave you wondering is Cassie’s mother was raped while another leaves you asking who will help Yeager when he needs it most. There is a decided lack of steaminess but there is a lot to be said for the way the author focuses on building the strong beginnings to a solid foundation for the couple.

This the second time I have read this book and to be honest the first reading was more enthralling than this second round for me. Will I try a third reading? That remains to be seen.

Haven’t found one of these in a while but as luck would have it this book had a pretty decent quote.

“She’s a girl but she’s still more man than you’ll ever be. You’re a bully. I don’t want you in my diner. Get out!”—Cassie

Book Cover Rating
I am beginning to think that front covers a getting to cluttered with words and they detract from the cover art in my opinion. The title and the authors name are the only things that truly belong on the front cover.

Book Blurb Rating
The blurb matches the book but does need some editing to put space between some words that got mushed together.

The Billionaire Wolf Needs a Wife (Ranch Romeos #2) by Zoe Chant

Heat Rating

Robin and her friend decide to sign up for email husbands while enjoying a night of drinking. She is surprised two years later when she receives a response with three conditions to which she agrees. After all Austin is the hottest guy she has ever seen.

The Billionaire Wolf Needs a Wife has a very good start that hooked me in right away but lost me in a few places. The chocolate chip cookie scene was really super-hot and got even better from there even if they had only met about ten minutes before that. I thought that the motorcycle was over the top but then it improved some when it turned into something sensually erotic. After that the book goes into a blah zone that it doesn’t really recover from leaving us with an anticlimactic and predictable ending leaving me doubtful that I will ever read this particular book ever again.

Book's Blurb
A shy BBW teacher + a sexy billionaire wolf shifter + a mail-order bride company = a white-hot wedding!

I have three conditions:
1. I want to be married as soon as possible
2. I will move in with you, rather than having you come to live with me
3. You must agree not to ask any questions about my past

I realize that this situation is very unusual. Therefore if you accept my conditions, I am willing to pay you a million dollars, even if the relationship doesn’t work out.

That's the email Robin Tucker, a small-town kindergarten teacher, receives one morning. The money would be nice, but being married to Austin Sullivan, the hottest man she's ever seen, would be even nicer. She's spent her life being too shy to take a chance on adventure, and Austin could show her a whole new world. But is he hiding a dark secret? Or could saying yes to his offer be the best decision she's ever made?

Austin wants to leave his family of dangerous and dishonorable wolf shifters. A wife would be the perfect excuse to move away from home and start a new life. But once he meets Robin, sparks fly, and he realizes that she might be the mate he never believed he could find. Can he protect her when his brothers come looking for them both?

Pollyanna and the Greek Billionaire (Innocent and Betrayed) by Marian Tee

 Heat Rating

Since I normally only rate one book at a time reviewing a whole series at once has proven interesting and entertaining.

Pollyanna is visiting her Godparents who live on a Greek Island owned by Kyrillos. Her Godparents daughter, Ana, who ran away from the island several years before leaving both her parents and Kyrillos devastatingly heart broken. Polly, who is nothing like Ana, slowly chips away at the armor that has encased Kyrillos heart since Ana left. When finally realizes that he does love Polly his previous love shows up wanting him to leave his wife and children for her.

The series is divided into three books with book one being the courtship which was actually a pretty good read. Pollyanna is young and naïve to the fact that Kyrillos is only spending time with her to get her into bed or so he keeps telling himself. I will give him credit for trying to stay away from her knowing he would only hurt her if Ana came back. But when he finds out that Ana is marrying another man he turns to Polly who has stars in her eyes every time she looks at him. I really enjoyed this part even if it was pretty anticlimactic.

Book two takes place seven years later and covers Kyrillos and Polly’s marriage and the struggle of
her wanting a career and his fear of her leaving him. Kyrillos has withheld his hart from his wife all that time and she is realizing there is something not right in her marriage but can’t put her finger on it until the night of their anniversary part when her world shatters. I am surprised that she never asked him out right why he never said he loved her. I this section to the story was just ok and I am really surprised that I eve finished this one.

In book three Ana is back and Kyrillos has realized that yes he truly does love his wife but she won’t believe him and why should she after all their marriage was just a big fat lie and he is a monkey farting shit stick for never being honest in the first place. I was really disappointed when I got to this point because you would think that Ana would create more trouble and try to insinuate herself into his life now that she is actually present, it certainly would have made the story more interesting. Although I will admit to a certain moment of ‘hahaha sucker, that what you get for being a douche’ when Polly started hanging out with another man. Taking that to a more intense moment before Kyrillos reasserted his claim on her might have been interesting as well.

Overall not even close to being the most exciting thing I have ever read and the only panty droppingly good moment in the whole series may well have been at the very end of book three but getting there through the story felt long and grueling much of the time.

Book Cover Rating
The covers are all the same making not exactly like each individual book in the series and rather boring.
